EPV for z/OS
EPV helps you to control and optimize hardware, software and applications in
order to reduce costs and improve service levels.
EPV for z/OS Resource provides a complete view of the condition for all
critical resources of your systems, especially those shared amongst different
z/OS systems such as processors (including zAAP, zIIP and crypto), disks,
physical control units, coupling facilities and channels.
EPV for z/OS Workload provides a complete view of all the workloads
running on your systems. Utilising extensive drill-down capabilities, you can
explore workload performance and consumption at the address space or transaction
level.
EPV for z/OS Trend vision provides daily and monthly productivity and resource consumptions trends at the system and workload levels. EPV for z/OS Configuration provides a detailed report of the hardware and software configuration for the z/OS and OS/390 environments, including the total dasd space by provider and physical control unit.
EPV for z/OS is available in two modes: standard or Plus. EPV for z/OS Plus is an “out of the box” solution that interprets the requisite SMF records and all the other input data required.
EPV Graph for z/OS
EPV Graph for z/OS integrates EPV for z/OS, adding graphical functionalities
which allow you to analyse in a simple intuitive way. All the graphics are
automatically produced without the need of any other tools, and includes a
graphical engine that enables you to customise your own graphs. The graphs
produced are ready to be used in any word processing tool and can be easily
integrated into your documents.
Using drill down techniques it’s possible to navigate in the graphs to analyze CPU utilization by machine, LPAR, workload and subsystems, down to the most critical Address Spaces; a similar vision is provided for disk space utilisation. These provide daily and historical information about the throughput in IMS, CICS, DDF, TSO, MQ, WEBSPHERE e Batch transactions, globally at the enterprise level and detailed by workload and system type.
EPV for UNIX
EPV for UNIX uses standard metrics normally available in UNIX environments and
is designed to support various input sources. EPV provides its own collectors
based on standard utilities from various operating systems such as AIX, Solaris
and HP-UX.
EPV for UNIX Configuration shows a detailed report of the hardware and
software configuration for UNIX environments including disk space availability.
EPV for UNIX Index provides a complete view of all Unix systems by
function and location (or by any other user defined criteria) and allows a quick
and simple detection of any critical issue related to CPU, Memory, I/O and
Network utilisation. EPV for UNIX Trend provides an advanced analysis of
your systems’ trends, and is easily customisable and flexible. For each system
you can analyse different time shifts using selected statistics and drilling
down to a selected day. EPV also calculates an estimate of CPU latent demand.
With EPV for UNIX Workload in just few seconds you can identify the major
workloads, both at global and at system level, and their distribution on the
available hardware resources. All reports are produced in straightforward static
HTML pages, published on a server of your choice and can be accessed by your
favourite browser. All the tables provided in the reports can be exported
individually or together into an Excel spreadsheet.
EPV for
Windows
EPV for Windows uses standard measures normally available in the Windows
environments and is designed to support various input sources. EPV is fully
integrated with Performance SeNTry (NTSMF) and SAS ITRM. The architecture of the
product is modular and flexible. EPV can be installed on most of the common
hardware and software platforms.
EPV for Windows Configuration shows a detailed report of the hardware and
software configuration for Windows environments including disk space
availability.
EPV for Windows Index provides a complete vision of all Windows systems
by function and location (or by any other user defined criteria) and enables a
quick and simple detection of any critical issue related to CPU. EPV for WINDOWS
Trend allows an advanced analysis of your systems trends, easily customisable
and flexible. EPV also calculates an estimate of CPU latent demand. All reports
are produced in straightforward static HTML pages, published on a server of your
choice and can be accessed by your favourite browser. All the tables provided in
the reports can be exported individually or together in an Excel spreadsheet
